Detlef Koertge is the creative director, portrait, headshot and lifestyle photographer at epigram studio. Serving Northwest Arkansas and surrounding states, my home town is Fayetteville, AR. I thrive on collaborating with clients and creative entrepreneurs from all walks of life, creating captivating images that tell compelling stories and reveal the essence of my subjects.
Inspired by the timeless artistry of Albrecht Durer, Rembrandt, and Caravaggio, as well as the evocative photography of Dan Winters, Irving Penn, and Horst P. Horst, I infuse my work with a blend of European influence and cultural depth.
Having grown up in Nuremberg, Germany, and later taking a leap of faith moving to the Chicago metro area in 1997, I established epigram studio a decade later. Focusing on portrait, headshot, and lifestyle photography, along with collaborations across various artistic mediums, I’ve relocated to Fayetteville, AR in 2019 where I am continuing my journey of creating inspiring visual art.
In every portrait photography session, I aim to capture the unique life experiences and stories that both the photographer and the subject bring to the table. Through my lens, I want to explore the intricacies of the human condition, while striving to marry aesthetics with purpose in my work.
